Born from a time the world stood still

In a moment of global pause, a new form of art emerged.

It began in a phase when the entire world was trying to “be negative.”

The year was marked by uncertainty, fear, and isolation. Our family, too, went through the stillness of illness during the pandemic. And somewhere between recovery and reflection, we felt a deep urge to shift our energy toward something life-affirming. To create. To remain positive in mindset, if not in circumstance.

We found our answer in nature.

Rooted Living

Our home in Sanand, near Ahmedabad, is surrounded by open skies, greenery, and a vast water body. Built consciously with reclaimed wood, rainwater harvesting systems, and designed to invite light and air into every corner, it reflects our way of living, simple, mindful, and rooted in the earth.

The Beginning

During lockdown, instead of slowing down creatively, we leaned into curiosity. With a deep love for textiles and sustainability, our father, Nitinbhai, immersed himself in research, reading, studying, watching, and exploring eco-conscious practices within fashion. That is when he discovered the art of Bio Printing.

Nature Fabric

Here was an art form that required no computers, no chemical dyes, no heavy machinery - only fabric, leaves, natural pigments, heat, patience, and intention. It felt like witnessing the true signature of nature on cloth, something rarely seen in Indian fashion.

Fabric Story

We began with pure excitement and no industrial setup experimenting at home using turmeric, beetroot, rust water, and garden leaves. Our kitchen gas stove became our first production unit.
As we refined the process and understood the importance of mordanting, the first delicate leaf imprint appeared marking the start of something meaningful.

Today, we've worked with 23 types of fabrics and over 76 fabric counts across sarees and yardage, continuously refining and evolving our craft.

N.Crafted was not born out of a business plan.

It was born out of healing. Out of hope. Out of a conscious choice to create something positive when the world felt uncertain.
